Advantages and disadvantages of Meta tags: including ways to overcome the disadvantages .

Advantages -

Meta tags make sure that specific search engine knows about the content , because of which the website will show specific results which are demanded (Xiang , 2005). 

Meta tags defines meta data about an HTML document .

Disadvantages -

While using meta tags one is telling other website owner or known as competitors what exactly key words you are optimising each page for .

Risks of data leak , privacy violation and bullying can be counted as main disadvantages of using Meta tags . (fesenmaier , 2005).

Ways to overcome the disadvantages -

one should be very accurate and precise while making an description which contains information that compliments the page title and informs searchers about what they will find on the page (Xiang , 2005).

Terms and conditions should be applied and variations should be complained also avoid keyboard spamming .
